50 hour maintenance (more frequently in dusty or dirty
conditions)
- Remove the sprocket cover and inspect the sprocket for
dirt, debris or excessive wear. Remove the guide bar and
clean the guide bar grooves. If the sprocket is excessively
worn, replace it with a new one. Fig. 45
- Lubricate the gearcase. To do this, first remove the gear-
case from the upper outer tube according to following in-
structions (Fig. 46):
1. Remove the upper tube from the gearcase according to
instructions in chapter ”Disassembling the tubes”.
2. Using a grease gun, pump lithium-based grease (about
10 g) into the grease fitting until you see old grease be-
ing purged out from the gearcase, which can be seen in
the outer tube cavity. Clean up excess grease, then re-
assemble the gearcase onto the outer tube.
