5.14 Software update
WARNING:
High Voltage present when updating software!
NOTE:
When copying the software from your computer to your memory stick be sure
that the memory stick is completely empty before saving the file to it. If there’s
any other documents on the USB stick the upload into the ESA Controller will not
work.
Performing a software update on your ESA Controller is very easy. You should always
consult with an ESA certified representative prior to doing so just to be sure you are using
the latest software version. From the main menu if you scroll over and select
« Configuration » you will find an option to select « About ». Click on « About » to see what
version software is already installed. Follow the steps below;
•
Delete all files on the USB.
•
Copy and paste the new software file to the USB (DO NOT change the name of the file
and make sure the USB only contains the new software file!).
•
Make sure the heat exchanger/ESA controller is powered on.
•
Remove the front cover of the ESA controller by removing the four screws.
•
Observe the speed of the green blinking LED on the top left corner prior to inserting
the USB. It should be blinking slowly.
•
Insert the USB into the USB port located on the top left corner. (DO NOT stop the
heat exchanger, DO NOT cut the power and whatever happens DO NOT remove
the USB before the update is finished!)
•
Push and hold the red button located near the USB port for a few seconds until the
green LED starts blinking rapidly.
• Wait until the green LED returns to normal blinking speed.
•
Remove the USB from the controller.
•
Put back the cover on the controller with the 4 screws.
