Scheduled generators configuration
Scheduled announcements were needed for the E417 device. What is most important for these
generators is to know clearly how many messages we want to send and when. Each generator sends a
message. Let’s suppose this is the schedule:
‘scheduledMessage.mp3’ on Monday to Friday, is sent every 30 minutes. For instance it could be a
message in an airport sent in order to remember passengers to look out their belongings.
‘scheduledMessage2.mp3’ is sent everyday at 11.30 am, 12.30 am and 1.30 pm. It could be a paid
advertisement, which has to be played three times a day.
Having two messages, we need two scheduled generators. We need to go to the ‘Scheduled’ subpage
and we start to configure the first one. To do that,
Add
is pressed and we enter these settings:
Id
: ‘From Monday to Friday’
Quality
: ‘PCM 32000’ (It may be a different one, but this ensures high quality)
Start automatically
: ‘true’
Destinations
: ‘E417 Ad1 scheduled’
We add the files, not only for this generator, but also for the second (scheduled generators share the
same music folder). To achieve this, we proceed exactly as we did with the announcements generator,
selecting the files in our PC after pressing
Add files
and then pressing
Upload & Convert
. There is one
difference: when the conversion is complete, the button
Update file list
should be pressed. After that, we
proceed to select the proper file for this generator in the combo.
