Loading a Media Roll
Printing on the S70670 is best done on rolls. Some media rolls are heavy and require
two people for handling. Rolls are installed on the roll holder, held in place inside the
printer by the pressure rollers, and optionally accumulated on the take up reel.
1. At the front of the printer open the cover and slide the media holding plates to
either side of the printing surface. Keep the cover open.
2. At the back of the printer make sure that the left-side roll holder is properly aligned
with the first pressure roller position. Reference the chart posted on the back of the
printer, or consult page 108 of the manual. Roll holders can be adjusted by
loosening the knob on the front of the holder and sliding back and forth on the
rails. Tighten the knob once the holder is in the correct position. Keep the right roll
holder loose until you have loaded the roll.
3. Make sure your media roll is unravelling in the correct direction, depending upon
which side of the roll is printable.
4. Insert your media roll onto the left side roll holder and then slide over the right side
holder until it is firmly inserted into the roll core. Tighten the holder on the rails and
then turn the crank on the right side holder until the blue part of the core insert is
flush with the dark grey part of the core holder.
