8. Lift the lid of the right side compartment to reveal the print head capping station,
wipers, and ink drainage.
9. Use swabs and fluid to wipe down any ink that has accumulated on the wipers or
around the nozzle capping areas, or anywhere ink may have splashed inside the
compartment. If necessary replace the wipers with new parts from the cleaning
supply tray.
10. If the filter above the ink drainage part is building up above the metal grid, replace
it with a new filter from the cleaning tray.
11. Close both compartment covers and follow the prompts on the control panel
screen to return the print head to the capping station. If more than 10 minutes have
passed during the head cleaning, perform a light nozzle cleaning and print a nozzle
check.
If the cleaning tray is low on parts or swabs, or if the squeegee looks too dirty, open a
new maintenance kit from the cabinet.

Waste Tank Replacement
When the printer performs nozzle cleanings or circulates ink while idle, the ink is
drained into a waste tank on the side of the printer. When the waste ink reaches the
yellow line it should be replaced.
1. Get a new tank from the cabinet drawer.
2. Wait until the printer is idle and then remove the waste tank.
3. Place the fresh tank in the waste tank holder with the hose inserted in the opening.
4. In the control panel Maintenance menu select
‟
Waste Ink Counter
‟
and then OK to
reset the counter.
5. Cap the full tank and place it in the blue bin above the black cabinet for empty ink
cartridges.
