Problem

Solution

When you use an

optional font card,
the printer does not
operate as expected.

The desired font cannot

be selected.

You cannot select fonts

from the card and the

message CE appears on

the display.

The font source menu or the font number

menu of SelecType may not be set

correctly. After you install the font card,

change the font setting as described in

Chapter 4.

The correct page orientation (portrait or

landscape) may not be selected. Only

fonts containing the selected orientation

are available. See Chapter 4.

You may not have inserted the card

correctly. Follow instructions in Chapter

4 to insert the card. Then press

ON LINE

to resume printing.
