Faxing (Fax Model Only)

Density
When sending a fax, you can specify the transmission density
from 7 levels (-3 to 3) on the control panel. The greater the number,
the darker the image.
1. Make sure that the product is in Fax mode. If not, press the
Fax button to enter the Fax mode.
2. Press the
d
Down
button to select Density .
3. Press the
l
Left or
r
Right button several times to specify
your desired density level.
Note:
You can also set the density by entering the number directly with
the numeric keypad.
4. Press the
u
Up button twice to exit the Density setting, or
make other settings if necessary.
Image quality
In black-and-white transmission, you can specify the image
quality according to the document type.
You can select the following image qualities.
Items Description
Stndrd (Standard) Fax is transmitted with standard image quality.
Qlty (Quality) Fax is transmitted with the moiré-removal and
background-clearance functions active. Effective
for documents such as magazines and catalogs.
High QI
(High Quality) Effective when faxing a document containing small
characters, graphics or thin lines. Although the
transmission speed is lower, a finer fax can be
transmitted.
