6. Web admin interface

Using the VGA2Ethernet or KVM2Ethernet Device as a DHCP Server

VGA2Ethernet

Using the VGA2Ethernet or

KVM2Ethernet Device as a DHCP

Server

You can configure the VGA2Ethernet or KVM2Ethernet device to

act as a DHCP server on the network. To configure the device to

act as a DHCP server, enable the DHCP server on the device and

enter the range of IP addresses that the DHCP server can provide.
You would configure the DHCP server if the network you are

connecting the device to does not have a DHCP server and you

want to automatically set the IP addresses of the devices on the

network using DHCP.

To enable the device DHCP server

Log into the Web admin interface.

Scroll down to the

DHCP Server

section.

Select

Run DHCP Server

Enter the Start and End addresses of the IP address range that

the DHCP server can assign to devices on the network.

Select

Change DHCP Server Configuration

Select

Continue

Scroll down the Web admin interface to the

Reboot the

system

section and select

Reboot

. Then select

Continue

It takes a few minutes for the device to reboot and resume

operation with the new DHCP server configuration.
