CHARGING

Warning!

Charging

must not

take place inside an airplane!

Warning!

Do not charge the container outdoors or in a damp, moist environments because of the risk for
electric shocks.

Important!

The container can be charged with the battery switch in the off position. The battery switch only
disconnects the batteries from the refrigeration system. Refer to section "Battery switch and
Long-time storage".

Important!

After the battery switch has been switched on (if switched off during charging) the charging cable
must be connected to the mains once again for five seconds for the system to start properly.
Refer to section "Battery switch and Long-time storage".

The container can be charged while it is running or while it is switched off. The charging procedure
/ charging time is not affected if the container is running while charging.

1) Open the cover of the charging unit.

2) Pull out the cord from the charging unit.

Important!

Always pull out all of the cord when charging (approximately 10 meters). Charging with part of
the cord inside the cable winder can cause damages to the cable winder.

Note!

Avoid use of additional extension cords as far as possible. If required, use as short extension
cords as possible and make sure the cross-section of the wires are at least 2.5 square
millimeter (0,0039 square inch).

3) The container can be charged either by connecting the blue CCE industy plug to a suitable

socket or by using one of the adapters. Follow step 4-5 if an adapter is to be used. Otherwise
continue from step 6.
