The following list summarizes the components
of procedure required to perform a complete
measurement cycle. It is strongly recommended to
read the entire manual before proceeding and to
consult the corresponding sections in case of any
doubt.
1. Battery level check of all devices, as well as
making sure that the SD cards are inserted.
2. Connection of E-Sens with the E-1000.
3. Connection of the barcode reader to the
E-1000 (optional).
4. Connection the irradiance and temperature
sensors to the E-Sens.
5. Setting the time of the E-1000 to local time
and synchronization of the time with the E-Sens.
6. Configuration of module characteristics under
test (V
OC
, ISC, V
M
, and I
M
,
α
, ẞ and N
S
)
7. Configuration of generator characteristics
(number of modules in series and in parallel).
8. Irradiance sensor configuration (reference cell)
9. Selection and configuration of the temperature
sensor (reference module, PT-1000, or E-Temp).
10. Selection of the file name under which the
data will be saved.
11. Selection and configuration of the
measurement process (manual measurement,
auto-measurement, or continuous measurement).
12. Selection of the method for saving the data
(manual save, or auto save).
13. Execution of the measurement process in line
with the selected options.
In addition, it is recommended to carry out the
measures considering the following:
-Carry out the measurements during periods of
the day when the sky is clear and with little wind.
-Ensure coplanarity and closeness between
reference module and the circuits under test. It
is advisable to also measure the temperature at
different points of the circuit.
-Perform measurements with an irradiance level
of between 800 and 1200 W/m
2
, and never
below 600 W/m
2
.
-Avoid angles of incidence of the sun greater
than 40º.
