6.1 Data download for PC
All data measured by the E-1000 and the E-Sens
are stored on two SD-type cards in the device. All
the files stored are in csv format and do not have any
encoding, so the data is accessible directly from an
Excel-like spreadsheet program such as LibreOffice
or any text editor.
There are three alternative methods to transfer the
measurement data from the SD card to the PC.
-Removing the SD card from the computer and
inserting it into the PC.
-Connecting the E-1000 to a PC via micro-USB
cable.
-Connecting to a PC through a WiFi connection
and a web browser.
To extract the data measured by the E-Sens it will
only be possible to use the SD card method only.
6.1.1 Data download via SD card
To obtain the measurement data through the
removal of the SD card, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the device is turned off.
IMPORTANT:
Removing the SD card with
the device on may cause irreparable damage to it
with the consequential loss of data.
2. Press the SD card lightly towards the inside of
the device until the spring clicks. For the E-Sens it
will be necessary to use a thin object to push the
micro-SD card into the device.
3. Release pressure and wait for the card to come
out of its slot by itself.
4. Completely remove the card from the device.
5. Insert the card into the card reader of a PC or,
use a USB type card reader.
6. The PC will automatically detect the inserted
SD card.
7. Open a file explorer folder on an operating
system.
8. Copy the files from the directory on the SD
card to the destination directory on a PC.
6.1.2 Data download via a micro-USB connection
The E-1000 also offers the ability to access the
SD card data via and the E-1000’s micro-USB
connection (located on the right side of the E-1000,
under the USB port connection for the barcode
reader). This feature is only available on the E-1000
and not on the E-Sens.
To access the data on the SD card through the USB
connection, follow these steps only when the device
is off:
1. Make sure the E-1000 is turned off.
2. Connect a USB cable from a USB port on your
PC to the E-1000’s micro-USB port.
3. The PC will recognize the SD card automatically.
4. Open a file explorer on your PC and navigate to
the SD card directory.
5. Copy files from the SD card directory to the
destination directory on the PC.
