When using the appliance for the first time, odour or smoke may de-
velop due to manufacturing residues. However, this is not dangerous
and will quickly disappear. Ensure adequate ventilation.
Before the first and each subsequent use, clean all loose parts (lid and drying racks)
using a soft cloth and washing-up liquid. Allow everything to dry thoroughly.
OPERATING THE DEHYDRATOR
Prepare the food (see “Preparing food” on page 42) and place it on the drying
racks, ensuring that it is evenly distributed.
Assemble the appliance (see “Before using the appliance for the first time” on page
40).
Connect the appliance to a mains socket.

Each press increases/decreases the operating period by one hour. It is possible to set op-
erating periods of 1 to 48 hours.

button to start the dehydration process.
You can amend both the dehydration temperature and the dehydration peri-
od when the appliance is in use.
The default temperature is set at 55°C.
When the appliance is in use, the remaining operating time and the set temperature are
displayed alternately.
To ensure even dehydration, occasionally swap the drying racks from top to bottom.
Once the set operating period has come to an end, the appliance switches off and

shown on the display.
Unplug the mains plug.
Allow the appliance to cool down.
Remove the dehydrated food and clean the appliance (see “Cleaning the dehydrator
and accessories” on page 45).
