(1 ) If the do melig ht burns o ut o r is co n-
stantly left O N, the alarm will no t detect
the do o rs o pening.
(2 ) If current sensing and passive arming
are desired, co nnect the do o r pin
switches to the alarm. O therwise the
alarm will no t arm pro perly.
A. The alarm has a current sensing delay o f 6 0
seco nds when a facto ry remo te is used and
a current sensing delay o f 4 seco nds after
the alarm arms when the o ptio nal
ENFO RC ER remo te is used. In o ther wo rds,
current sensing do es no t trig g er the alarm
until 4 o r 6 0 secs. after the alarm is armed.

If the alarm is pro g rammed fo r current
sensing, but do es no t detect the o pening o f a
do o r, it is po ssible the do melig hts do no t
draw eno ug h current. In this case, try a
brig hter do melig ht (check the vehicle

A. Determine where to mo unt the VEPLe switch.
Lo catio n is no t impo rtant fo r security, as the
VEPLe switch canno t be used witho ut the
ig nitio n key. It sho uld be hidden fro m view,
yet easily accessible by the user in an
emerg ency. IT IS IMPO RTANT THAT THE
USER C AN EASILY REMEMBER THE
LO C ATIO N O F THE VEPLe SWITC H.
B.
Drill a 9 / 3 2 " ho le where the VEPLe switch
will be mo unted.
C . Run the VEPLe switch co nnecto r thro ug h the
ho le, and then plug into the alarm brain’ s
2 -pin WHITE co nnecto r.
The starter disable relay can be pro g rammed
fo r N.O . o peratio n. To chang e it to N.O .
o peratio n:
1 . Take o ff the bo tto m o f alarm brain unit.
2 . O n the back o f the printed circuit bo ard,
cut the “ LP1 ” lo o p as sho wn o n Fig . 2 7 .
3 . Pro g ram via the VEPLe switch as sho wn o n
pag e 1 8 .
