If it should become necessary, the plastic parts of the HemaCool™ may also be wiped
with a 10% solution of chlorine bleach. The unit’s payload, if salvageable, must be
moved to another refrigerator while this is done. The bleach must be rinsed away and the
unit allowed to dry before placing it back in service.
If cuts or tears in the seal are found, refer the unit to a qualified technician for
replacement (see Service and Repair Manual).

Check For Moisture Accumulation
If the unit’s seal is compromised (see above), or if it is opened and closed frequently in a
humid environment, moisture will accumulate in the bottom of the tub. This moisture
may be removed using a sponge or absorbent towels. If you get a lot of water, you may
use a wet-dry shop vacuum cleaner or a water aspirator connected to running water to
suction it away.
