For example, a 45 year old woman who would like to perform a fat burning workout
at 65% of her theoretical maximum would use;
(220-45) x .65 = 114 beats per minute
The same woman for a cardio workout at 80% of her theoretical maximum is
calculated;
(220-45) x .80 = 140 beats per minute
Once you have adjusted to the desired beats per minute with the Speed Arrow
buttons, press the
Start
button to begin your workout, and the treadmill will adjust
speed to keep you at your target rate.
