Cesium Status Using the Console Port
The
hp5071astat
command returns the contents of the cesium oscillator status registers in a human
readable form. Also included are parameters describing the inner workings of the oscillator. Below

hp5071astat returns the contents of the Operation Status and Questionable
Data registers of the HP5071A Cesium oscillator in a human-readable form.
These are followed by a set of 10 other parameters describing the inner
workings of the Cesium oscillator.
The Operation Status is summarized in a 16 bit register, of which only
6 bits are used to indicate these conditions:
CALIBRATING (normal state during warmup)
STANDBY (non-operational maintenance mode)
ONBATTERY (on battery backup power)
NORMAL (normal state after warmup)
FATAL (fatal error, call factory)
STEERED (normal state after warmup, if steering is not zero)
NOTE: If none of these 6 bits are set, it is an indication of an
RS-232 communications fault with the HP5071A, and the Operation
Status will be reported as:
