PROFIBUS DP:
Monitor operation mode
Set-up is only required if PROFIBUS measurement points
are to be used.
See “Analogue inputs - Signal” and “Analogue inputs - PROFIBUS DP”.
Operating mode “Measured value monitor”: The (Bus) measurement signals are interrogated by a
superior control system.
Baud rate Baudrate for PROFIBUS DP monitor, cannot be changed.
Time out If a measured value is not received from the Bus within the preset time, bus operation
is faulty (possibly wrong settings). The unit displays this on screen. In this case
measurements cannot be received.
Slave operating mode
Operating mode “Communication with: External DP slave module”: The Visual Data Manager is
connected to the PROFIBUS-DP field bus system as an active slave using the
PROFIBUS-DP coupler (see additional operating instructions ZBA117R09en).
Baudrate Baudrate for PROFIBUS-DP Slave, preselectable.
Time out See “Operating mode monitor”.
Input/output (DCS) Useable data construction: “100/60” or “70/90”. 100 (70) Bytes are transmitted to the
DCS, 60 (90) Bytes transmitted from the DCS. When changing this value the power
supply to the PROFIBUS coupler must be switched on and out.
