Both O-rings must be installed at the sensor head.
Insert the included retaining ring must at the sensor head.
After assembly, it will limit the rotation of the housing.
Position housing on sensor head and screw on up to the edge of the
retaining ring (approximately 5 turns), refer to illustration below.
Position retaining ring towards set screw (see center line).
Continue rotating the housing together with the retaining ring
such that the tab slips into the guide groove in the housing, then
screw housing onto sensor head until stop.
If assembled correctly, the housing can be rotated back for over a full
turn (380°) to a noticeable stop.
Install electronics module
Unplug and remove shorting plug from sensor plug and plug sensor
cable into electronics.
If applicable, plug display module to electronics.
Screw lid on electronic compartment.

Install instrument at desired location, connect wires
•
Adjust housing to the desired position
Important: the set screw must be tightened securely after
positioning of the housing in order to provide an optimum
potential equalization between the process tank and the
ground potential of the housing.
This also has a positive effect on the EMC characteristics of
the electronics.

After the complete assembly the instrument is operational.
•
After switching on the instrument, code 7864 (general reset) must
be entered in the operation menu --> operation --> in the field
“reset”. The electronics then reads the specific sensor data from the
sensor electronics.
The instrument must then be calibrated to the process measuring
range according to the manual.
