10.4. UNLOADING SILOS
Depending on the material conditions, when a silo is unloaded the material can become compacted in the
unload door. In this case, is necessary to use a external vibrator.
•
They are placed in the conical part and they produce from 1 to 2g accelerations.
•
It is recommended to place them at 1/3 of the height of the conical part and must be fixed on a rigid
profile.
•
When the height of the conical part is more than 4m, it is recommended to put another row at 2/3 of
the height.
•
The external vibrator must be placed on the wall of the hopper with a lower angle of inclination with
respect to the horizontal.
