by verifying that the AP Status LED turned solid

status LED is blinking, Xtender did not find the Access Point.
Relocate Xtender closer to the Access Point and repeat 1 and 2.
4) Relocate and power-up Xtender mid way between the Access Point
and area requiring range extension.
