Example of wLINK 300 as wireless router
4.1 Connecting the wLINK 300
1.
Turn off your computer.
2.
Connect the wLINK 300 to a wall outlet using the supplied power adapter.
3.
Connect the supplied UTP network cable to the ‘WAN’ port of the wLINK 300.

Connect the other end of the UTP network cable to the ‘LAN’ port of your cable
modem.
5.
Connect a UTP network cable to one of the four ‘LAN’ ports of your wLINK 300.
6.
Connect the other end of the UTP network cable to the network adapter in your
computer.
Do I have a proper network connection? Turn on the computer and verify if the LED on
the wLINK 300, corresponding with the LAN-port to which you connected the UTP
networking cable, is lit. The LED on the network adapter of your computer should also
be lit.
4.2 Configuring the wLINK 300 for connection with the
Internet
Before you can configure the wLINK 300 for a connection with the Internet, you will
first need to connect to the wLINK 300. Follow the instructions below to connect to the
wLINK 300.
1.
Turn on your computer.
2.
Open your Internet browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Netscape or Firefox).
3.
Type ‘http://192.168.8.1’ in the address bar.
4.
Press the enter key or click ‘Go to’.
