Device-specific safety instructions

The surroundings must be free from easily flam-
mable materials or materials that are prone to
explosion.

The device may only be used for the intended pur-
pose.

The device must be located on an even, non-slip
and heat-resistant surface.

The device may not be operated outdoors.

Not for use in moving vehicles or boats.

Never leave the device unattended when
switched on.

If the device is not under observation, or will not
be used for a longer period of time, pull the plug
out of the socket, allow the device to cool and
store in a safe place.

This device may be used by children as of the age
of eight (8) and by persons with limited physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experi-
ence and/or knowledge, if they are supervised or
have been instructed in the safe operation of the
device and understanding the risks resulting from
this. Children may not play with the device. Clean-
ing and user maintenance may not be carried out
by children unless supervised.

The device may not be covered. This causes a
risk of fire.

Do not submerge the device, the power cable or
plug in water or other fluids.

Do not use the device close to a washbasin or
sink.

Do not position the device in the vicinity of hot sur-
faces, for example, the hot plates of a stove.

Do not use the device with wet hands.

The power cable may not hang over the edge of a
table since this brings the risk of the device being
pulled off the table.

Do not use the device,
– When the power cable is damaged.
– In the event of faults.
– When the device may have been damaged as

a result of a fall or other cause.

Do not use adapters or extension cables.

Never use the device with a timer or another
switch that activates the device automatically as
this carries a risk of fire.

Never operate the device under hanging cup-
boards, low lamps, shelves or in the vicinity of cur-
tains, table decorations or other flammable mate-
rials.

Only connect the device to an easily accessible
power outlet so that you can quickly disconnect it
from the power supply in the event of a problem.

Never heat grease or oil unattended.

Do not use the cooking surface as a storage sur-
face.

If you notice any damage (cracks or breakages)
on the cooking surface, switch off the appliance
and disconnect it from the power supply.

Never clean the cooking surface with steam
cleaners.

To prevent possible fire, do not block the air inlets
or exhaust slots. Do not use the device on soft
surfaces, for example on a bed where the open-
ings may be blocked.

Do not insert any foreign objects into the ventila-
tion or exhaust air openings and do not allow any
foreign objects to enter, as this could result in
electric shock, fire or damage to the heating ele-
ment.

If you do not wish to use the device for a long
period of time, disconnect it from the power
source. The unit is only completely de-energised
when the mains plug is removed from the socket.

Always plug the mains plug into the wall socket
before switching on the device. To disconnect the
unit from the power supply, turn off the controls,
and then unplug the power cord.

Never heat a tightly closed can or container. This
can lead to an explosion.

Unplug the unit immediately if it emits fire or
smoke.

Always disconnect the unit from the power supply
when not in use.

Do not move the unit if there is a pot or pan on it.

Use only cookware suitable for the appliance.

Never heat empty pots or pans. This can damage
the appliance and the cooking utensils.

Do not position the unit at the edge of the work
surface.

Always leave a distance of approx. 10 cm around
the unit during use.

Always allow the hot cooking surface to cool down
slowly, as it can break if the temperature changes
rapidly.

Do not unplug the power cable from the socket
immediately after cooking. The device needs at
least 15 seconds to cool down.

Do not place credit cards or other electromagnetic
devices near the device during use. This can lead
to data loss or damage.

If necessary, place a hard, non-slip mat under the
device. Since furniture is coated with different lac-
quers and plastics and can be treated with differ-
ent cleaning products, it cannot be completely
excluded that some of these substances contain
components that attack and soften the rubber
feet.

The device becomes hot during operation. Pay
attention to ensure that you do not come into con-
tact with the heated parts of the device both dur-
ing and after use.

Do not move or slide the device when it is in use.

Never leave the device unattended when it is
plugged in.

Before cleaning, always pull the plug and then
allow to cool.

Never use force when operating or cleaning the
device.
