Modifications
Solo and Cut modification.
Abbey Road consoles received a modification to the “Solo” switch and were also
fitted with a “Cut” switch on every channel, along with an LED indication of the
operation of either the Solo or Cut switch.
The circuit of these modifications is detailed in drawing No.TG12345/AR008.
This drawing should be read in conjunction with TG12345/DE2.
The original solo push-button was replaced by a latching miniature 2-pole
changeover toggle switch, and a similar switch was added adjacent to each channel
fader, for use as a cut switch.
The LED indicator was fitted adjacent to the fader, between the solo and the new
cut switch.
The addition of the cut switch and LED indicator require drilling the front panel of the
cassette.
