Troubleshooting

CAUTION: Use only Emerson WT-BC EPA Registered Bacteriostat available from
your local retail store or by calling (800) 654-3545.
Use of other water treatment products may damage the filter elements.  Under no
circumstances should you use water treatment products designed for Rotobelt
or Ultrasonic humidifiers.

PROBABLE CAUSE

•  Selected humidity level has

been established

• No power

• Float is not free
• Float retainer positioned in top

slot at back of cabinet

•  This is normal

• Air is entering water bottles

• Dirty filters
• Bottle cap plunger missing post

in bottom of cabinet.

• Unit is not setup on a level sur-

face (Float will not sense water
at the rear of the cabinet).

TROUBLE

Unit will not run
and Fill Light is
not illuminated.

Unit will not shut
off

Unit will not dry
out completely

Bottles continue to
empty

Unit is not
emptying during
use

REMEDY

• Raise humidistat setting if desired
• Check 120 volt source for power

• Free float from obstruction
• Slide float retainer down to lowest

position in slot at back of cabi-
net.(See diagram on page 11.)

• A small amount of water remains

in the cabinet after the Fill Light
comes on.

• Check “E-Z-Fill Side-Caps” to

ensure tightness

• Check for leak in water bottles
• Ensure gaskets for “E-Z-Fill Side

Caps” are in place (see repair
parts list).

• Change to fresh new filters.
• Check orientation of bottle.

Reposition so that bottle cap
plunger is depressed by post in
bottom of cabinet.

• Position unit level (some carpet

padding may allow unit to sit lower
in the front than the rear with the
additional weight of water bottles
in the front of the cabinet. Install
coasters under front casters.
