• If the power cord is damaged it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, the manufacturer’s representative or an
authorised person (a damaged power cord can be very
dangerous).
• Use the hose kit that is supplied with the appliance (do
not reuse an old hose kit).
• The washing machine is intended for indoor use.
• This appliance can be used by children from the age
of 8 and by individuals with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capacities, or who lack experience, provided
they are supervised by a responsible person or instruc-
ted in the safe use of the appliance and understand the
risks involved in its use. Do not let children play with
the appliance. Children may only carry out cleaning and
maintenance if they are supervised by an adult.
• Unplug the appliance from the wall socket before you
start cleaning or maintenance.
• Make sure that all pockets are emptied (hard or sharp
items such as coins, jewellery, nails, screws or stones
could seriously damage the appliance).
• Check that there is no water left in the drum before you
open the door. Do not open the door if you see water
inside the drum.
• Check that pets or children have not climbed into the
washing machine. Always check the washing machine
before you use it.
• The glass door can get very hot during washing. Make
sure that children and pets cannot get near the washing
machine when a wash programme is running.
• Check that the mains voltage and frequency match the
specifications on the washing machine’s rating plate.
