Cleaning the door seals
Take care to keep the door seals clean. Sticky food and drinks can cause seals to stick to
the cabinet and tear when you open the door. Wash seals with a mild detergent and warm
water. Rinse and dry thoroughly after cleaning.
Caution!
Only after the door seals are completely dry should the appliance be powered on.
Replacing the LED light:
• Warning: The LED light should be replaced by a competent person! lf the LED light is
damaged, contact the customer helpline for assistance.
Defrosting
Why do you need to defrost?
• Water from food or moist air that enters the fridge when the doors are opened may form
a frost layer inside. If the frost is thick it will interfere with refrigeration. When it is more
than 10 mm thick, you should defrost.
Defrosting fresh food storage compartment
Defrosting is automatically controlled by switching the temperature regulator on or off, so
there is no need to defrost this compartment. Water from defrosting drains into a drip tray
through a drain pipe at the back of the fridge automatically.
Defrosting frozen food storage compartment
• The freezer chamber must be defrosted manually. Before defrosting, take the food out.
• Take the ice tray out and remove the food from the drawers or put it in the fresh food
compartment temporarily.
• Set the temperature regulator knob to the “0” setting (to stop the compressor) and leave
the door of the refrigerator open until ice and frost melt completely and collect at the
bottom of the freezer chamber. Wipe off the water with a soft cloth.
• To speed up the defrosting process, you can put a bowl of warm water (about 50°C) into
the freezer chamber, and scrape away the ice and frost with a defrosting spatula. After
doing so, be sure to set the temperature regulator knob to the original setting.
• It is not advisable to heat the freezer chamber directly with hot water or a hair dryer to
speed up defrosting, as this could deform the interior of the compartment.
• It is also inadvisable to use sharp tools or wooden implements to scrape off ice and frost
or separate food containers that have stuck together, as this could damage the interior of
the compartment or the surface of the evaporator.
Warning!
Switch off the appliance before defrosting, and turn the temperature regulator to the “0”
setting.
lmportant!
The fridge should be defrosted at least once every month.
If the door is opened frequently during use, or if the appliance is used in very humid
conditions, we advise the user to defrost every two weeks.
