The sound cannot be heard or the volume
is very low .
The volume might be set too low. Check the volume control in the Volume
Control Panel in the Windows notification area, or use the key combination Fn
+ F5 and F6 (see “Keyboard Shortcuts” on page 1 - 18 ) to adjust.
My internal microphone seems to be
disabled and/or I can still hear sound
from the speakers even though I have
plugged headphones into the headphone
jack.
You have disabled “Front panel jack detection” in Connector Settings in the
Realtek HD Audio Manager control panel. Go to the Realtek HD Audio
Manager and click the Connector Settings icon and make sure that there is
no tick alongside “Front panel jack detection” and click OK.
Unwelcome numbers appear when
typing.
Num Lock is turned ON (see “Keyboard Shortcuts” on page 1 - 18 ).
I am sliding my finger up and down on the
right side of the
Touchpad to scroll a
Window and the Touchpad does not
respond .
There are different Touchpad versions available on this computer, and this
version requires tapping/holding to scroll.
Either tap repeatedly, or hold the
finger down, at the top or bottom right of the Touchpad (depending on the
scrolling direction required) to scroll the window.

Other Keyboards
If your keyboard is damaged or you just want to make a change, you can use any standard USB keyboard. The system will detect and
enable it automatically. However special functions/hot keys unique to the system’s regular keyboard may not work.
