Fill the fondue pot to approx. 1/3 with deep-frying fat/vegetable oil or bouillon and put it on the
heating unit

The first time you use your fondue, it may emit a slight odour and smoke.
This is, however
, quite
safe and only of short duration. Pay attention to a suf
ficient ventilation.

Put a wooden stick (e.g. shish-kebab stick) into it, to check whether the oil or the broth is hot
enough. If small bubbles form at the stick, the oil or the broth has reached the right temperature
and you can start with the cheese fondue.

After reaching adjusted temperature, the
