If the input is to be used as a brightness encoder (e.g. limit value of a sun sensor), select
"Brightness encoder" and define which value is to be transmitted.

Input 1 can be defined as bus or actuator button. The inputs 2-4 are bus buttons.

If a button with switching function is assigned to the input, select the bus function
