Adjusting the needle thread tension

The upper thread tension should be 75 to 90 grams-force when pulling the thread (white

polyester thread size 50) at the speed of 110 mm/sec. with the tension dial at “4”.

1. Set the thread tension dial at “4”.

2. Pull the tension dial to remove it.

3. Lower the presser foot.

4. Turn the dial to adjust the tension.

To loosen the tension, turn the dial counterclockwise.

To tighten the tension, turn the dial clockwise.

5. Push in the tension dial aligning “4” with the setting

mark.
