3.3.2 Command Line Interface (CLI)
The BMC’s CLI can be accessed via the front MicroUSB connector. This interface provides access to
four ports, where the two last ones are used serial ports. See Table 15 for the list of interfaces
provide by the MicroUSB interface. The third interface available provides access to the CLI of the
BMC. The serial port settings for this interface can be found in Table 8.

The CLI supports “arrow up” and “arrow down” to parse between the last commands to be able to
repeat those commands without retyping. Up to 10 commands are stored. In addition,
manipulation of the stored commands after recalling is possible (helps to correct typing errors).
The CLI allows access to status information and manipulation. The following commands are
available in the CLI:
help / ?:
Displays the available commands.
config:
Displays or modifies the configuration of the board.
Configuration settings are to manage Off/Reset control, Reset handling etc.
info:
Shows board information like slot type and number, power control configuration and power state.
ios:
Provides information about the status of the BMC I/Os and allows manipulation of outputs.
Use manipulation of the outputs with care!
Manipulate outputs only, if you know what you are doing!
To manipulate outputs, type:
ios output_name output_level
output_name:
signal name (e.g. “VIN_PWR_ON”) or output number (e.g. “RD0”)
output_level: “0” or “low” to set the output low
“1” or “high” to set the output high
Outputs, which are modified by automatic BMC functionality (e.g. reset or power
control), overwrite the manual output settings.
reset:
This command resets the BMC, which also resets the NVIDIA
® Xavier™.
