of personal data with these service providers. We also select our service providers with care.
They process personal data exclusively for the purposes of fulfilling their responsibilities and
are contractually bound by our instructions, have suitable technical and organisational
measures for the protection of personal data at their disposal and are regularly monitored
by us. EU standard contractual clauses for transferring personal data to processors in third
countries (appropriate guarantee for data processing in non-European countries) have been

II. Home charging or online services (data processing by Volkswagen AG)
If you wish to authorise and use additional optional home charging or online services
(such as charging cycle management and analysis) in conjunction with your wallbox, you
must link the wallbox to your existing Volkswagen user account (Volkswagen ID) using
a pairing code required for this purpose (the Volkswagen ID is provided by Volkswagen AG,
Berliner Ring 2, 38440 Wolfsburg, entered in the Commercial Register of the District Court
of Braunschweig under number HRB 100484 (‘Volkswagen AG’)). You can log into numerous
online services (e.g. Websites or applications) from Volkswagen AG or third parties using
the Volkswagen ID. It acts as a central user account that you can use to manage your data
centrally. The data processing required for this is performed for the purposes of contract
fulfilment (Article 6, paragraph 1, letter b, GDPR). Registration requires your email address
and a password personally chosen by you. Please note the detailed Volkswagen AG Privacy
Policy applicable for Volkswagen ID. This can be accessed at

The home charging and online services are provided by Volkswagen AG. In the context of
use of the home charging and online services, Volkswagen AG processes the abovementioned
technical data (device ID, brand, generation, device type and software version) and the
following additional device- and person-specific data: customer identification, statistics,
charging information, status, connection status and time stamp of last communication
established.
This processing of data for home charging and online services is Volkswagen AG’s own
responsibility. It has tasked us with the processing of this data. More information on the
processing of personal data by Volkswagen AG and the assertion of your rights vis-à-vis
Volkswagen AG can be found in Volkswagen AG’s privacy policy for home charging and

C. Your rights
You may exercise the following rights regarding data processing by Volkswagen Group
Charging GmbH vis-à-vis Volkswagen Group Charging GmbH at any time without cost.
