(1)
If the battery is not connected, there is no voltage at the ends of the connecting cables (red and
black Faston).
(2)
Only if the absence of the mains power supply is notified to an alarm receiving centre or other remote
centre.
(3)
+SR does not supply voltage in the event of a mains power failure
.
(4)
A line fault must be recognised within 20 seconds (SP6) to ensure compliance with EN50136-2 in
the LAN configuration.
DP1 guaranteed with:
Primary LAN and alternate ILT700 interface.
DP2 guaranteed with:
Primary LAN and alternative IT700-GSM interface, with periodic test not
exceeding 30 min. enabled.
3. INSTALLATION
3.1. BASIC REQUIREMENTS
For correct installation, the control panel must be positioned:
•
On a dry, flat wall in an adequately ventilated, low-traffic indoor location
•
In a place protected by means of detectors so that no intruder can approach it
without having first generated an alarm
•
Away from sources of electromagnetic interference and large metal objects
3.2. INSTALLING THE CONTROL PANEL
The MEDEA CPU boards can be installed:
•
in a plastic box with 1.5 A power supply and 12V 7 Ah or 9 Ah battery
(BOX PLASTIC KIT C/PS1.5A)
•
in a metal box with 3.4 A power supply unit and 18 Ah battery
(METAL BOX KIT C/PS3.4A)
Note: The MEDEA /32 CPU board is sized for a 7 Ah capacity battery.
Refer to the manuals in the boxes for installation, mounting and wiring instructions.
3.3. ASSEMBLING THE INTERFACES IN THE CONTROL PANEL
Assemble the required interface boards on the MEDEA CPU board. Up to three interfaces, not more
than one per type, can be installed:
•
ILT700, telephone line interface (max 1, preferably on OPT1);
•
IT700-GSM, GSM interface, or IT700-4G, 4G interface (max 1, preferably on OPT2);
•
ER700-WIFI (max 1) and ER700-ZB (max 1, preferably on OPT3).
IMPORTANT
The interfaces must be inserted and removed with the control panel
not powered (mains and battery
disconnected)
.
Note: The ER700-ZB and ER700-WIFI interfaces can only be installed on control panels installed in
plastic boxes.
3.4. CENTRAL BUS CONNECTION
Connect the 4-wire BUS cable for connecting control panel, readers, keypads and expansion modules
to the +, A, B, – terminals.
The MEDEA CPU /32 boards have only one BUS connection, whereas the MEDEA CPU /64 and
/160 boards have two, electrically separate BUS connections. Either connections can be used.
A polarised BUS connector is also present for connecting the ER700-RF wireless expansion interface
using the cable supplied with the interface, when it is installed inside a plastic box.
