1.2.6 Safety Instructions prior to Start Up
Only start the knife grinding machine after acquainting with the correct
connection and function of the machine as well as after informing about the
possible risks involved.
The machine may only be started by an authorized, instructed and skilled
employee of the operating company.
The following steps describe the safe commissioning of the machine.
Further procedure and measures
- Check the delivery for transport damages, repair or replace if necessary.
- Check if the instruction manual is available and complete.
Do not start the machine without the instruction manual.
- Check the functioning according to the instruction manual.
- On delivery to the operator, an instruction according to the instruction manual
is required. This must be acknowledged in writing by the operating company.
- Prior to delivery to the operating company, an inspection for portable devices is
required.
- Restart after maintenance work:
During restart, the user or the assembly and maintenance personnel must make
sure that the knife grinding machine can be properly restarted according to the
instruction manual.
Above all, the connected load of the electrics is to be observed and the direction
of the grinding wheels must be set correctly.
