11.6. Maintenance after every 150 hours of operation
11.6.1. Replacing the air filter
This procedure is exactly the same as for cleaning the air filter. (read § 11.4.3; page 43)
New, suitable air filters are available from your ELIET dealer or an authorised service centre of
the relevant engine brand.
11.6.2. Belt replacement
Warning:
When adjusting the belt tension the engine must be turned off and the
spark plug cap removed. Wearing gloves is obligatory whenever contact with
drive components could occur.
• Remove the belt protection cover. (read § 11.5.3; page 45)
• Place the machine back on all four wheels.
• The belt will be detached, i.e. the engine plate is at rest in the lowest position.
• A belt catcher has been provided in the area of the pulley on the
engine. Bend the two plates of the belt catcher open so that the
belt can be removed from the pulley.
• Remove the belt from the pulleys.
• Fit the new belt.

• Adjust the belt tension correctly. (read § 11.5.3; page 45)
• Bend the two plates of the belt catcher back to their original posi-
tion (+/- 2mm (1/10”) play with the outer diameter of the pulley)
• Replace the belt protection cover as it was originally fitted.
Caution:
A new belt will be subject to stretching during its first operational
hours. This will reduce the belt tension. The belt tension will therefore need to
be re-adjusted after the first 10 hours of operation.
