3 .2 .3 .3 He mifie ld Te s t
The Hemifield test compares the defect values in the superior hemifield to those
in the inferior hemifield. It then tells you w hether the difference is w ithin normal
limits.
The test is very sensitive to the early changes that occur in glaucoma w hich are
often restricted to either the superior or inferior hemifields. The output from this
analysis is either Within Normal Limits, Borderline or Outside Normal Limits. In
cases w here it is Borderline or Outside Normal Limits it also give a p-value
(<10, <5%, <2%, <1% <0.5%).
