F inding a rec ord in t he dat abase
You can search for a record in the database using family name, record number
or date of test
By default the database is sorted alphabetically by family name.
To sort the database by record number or date of test, click on one of the
column headings for famname, rec number or DOT.
1. The displayed database w ill re-order to display the chosen sort.
2. To find a family name or record number click into the search box on the
toolbar (below )
A keyboard w ill appear if the option is set in the OPTIONS program.
as you type, (on this keyboard or the computer keyboard), the database
w ill find the nearest match to the text in the search box.
To close the keyboard, press the enter or ESC buttons.
No tes:
The system searches for the nearest match. For example, if you search
on Family name and press H, you w ill see the first record that begins
w ith H. Enter more letters to narrow the search.
Searching also sorts the database on the basis of the search box you
are typing in. For example, if you are searching on Record number, the
database w ill be sorted by record number (highest number first).
