1.10.6.3 Rotary knobs
As long as the device is in manual operation, the two rotary knobs are used to adjust set values, as well
as setting the parameters in the pages SETTINGS and MENU. For a detailed description of the individual
„3.3 Manual operation“ on page 43
. Both rotary knobs have an additional pushbut-
ton function whereby the decimal position of the value to be set is moved. In this way, for example, the set current
value for a device with nominal 120 A can be adjusted in increments of 10 A or 0.1 A or different.
(see also „1.10.6.2
1.10.6.4 Resolution of the displayed values
In the display, set values can be adjusted in variable increments. The number of decimal places depends on the
device model. The values have 4 or 5 digits. Actual and set values always have the same number of digits.
Adjustment resolution and number of digits of set values in the display of stand-alone devices are as shown in the
table below. The display format of values in master-slave operation, then displayed by the master unit only, will differ.

In manual operation every set value can be set in the increments given above. In this case
the actual output values set by the device will lie within percentage tolerances as shown in the
technical data sheets. These will influence the actual values.
1.10.6.5 USB-Port (Front side)
The frontal USB port, located to the right of the rotary knobs, is intended for the connection of standard USB flash
drives (flash drive). This can be used for:
•
Loading or saving sequences for the arbitrary and loading tables for the UI-IU function generator
•
Updating HMI firmware (new languages, functions)
USB flash drives must be
FAT32
formatted and have a
maximum capacity of 32GB
. All supported files must
be held in a designated folder in the root path of the USB drive in order to be found. This folder must be named
HMI_FILES
, such that a PC would recognise the path G:\HMI_FILES if the drive were to be assigned the letter
G. The control panel of the electronic load can read the following file types from a flash drive:
*.bin
Firmware updates only for the control panel (HMI)
. The file name format is
given like 96230058_FW-BE1_V202.bin, listed in short form as FW-BE1_V202.
bin. Other files won’t be recognised or listed.
wave_u<arbitrary>.csv
wave_i<arbitrary>.csv
Function generator arbitrary curve for voltage (U) or current (I)
The name must begin with
wave_u / wave_i
, the rest is user defined.
iu<arbitrary>.csv
IU table for the function generator. All table values are interpreted as current
values between 0% and 125% of I
Nom
(see technical specs). If any value ex-
ceeds the range, loading of the table will be aborted. The name must begin with
iu
, the rest can be user defined.
