WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM

The water treatment system performs two functions: it softens the water (i.e. removes the calcium and
magnesium) by means of ion-exchange resins, and regenerates the resins by adding sodium chloride.

The system consists of the following components:

- Adjustable-volume regeneration water tank

- Regeneration level regulation device

- Tank  for resin washing water

- Regeneration solenoid valve

- Resin washing solenoid valve

- Resin washing water tank

WATER SOFTENING CIRCUIT

The water coming from the solenoid valve passes through the circuit until it reaches the resin tank (

). As it

filters slowly upwards through the resin layer, it is softened; the water then passes into the resin washing tank
(

) and from there it flows through the volumetric flow switch (

13

) and into the tub.

In the section of the circuit between the air break (

) and the resin tank (

11

), the water passes through a

calibrated valve (

) into the regeneration tank (

7

) which contains untreated water; the quantity of water

passing into this tank depends on the selected water hardness level.
