Component Teardown

To Service the Perfect Temp Drawer

™

 User Interface 

Board and Touch Control:

1.  Disconnect power from unit.
2.   Remove the drawer.
3.   Lift the cover and disconnect wire harness.
 

(See Figure 6-36)

4.   Remove the cover from inside the refrigerator and
 

turn it over on a clean flat surface.

5.   Remove the 17 screws ( Marked “A” in Figure 6-37) 

holding the cover in place, then remove cover.

6.   The board will now snap out of the retainer.
7.   Disconnect the ribbon cable and 4 pin connector
 

from the touch control and lift the user Interface

 

board out of the cover.

To Service the Perfect Temp Drawer

™

 NTC 

Thermistor and Wiring Harness:

1.  Disconnect power from unit.
2.   Remove the drawer.
3.   Lift the cover and disconnect harness.
4.   Remove the cover from inside the refrigerator and
 

turn it over on a clean flat surface.

5.   Remove the screws securing the cover in place and
 remove 

cover.

6.   Disconnect 4 Pin connector from UI board.
7.   Disconnect 2 LED 2 pin connectors. 
 

(See Figure 6-38)

8.   Remove/replace harness.

To Service the Perfect Temp Drawer

™

 Control Unit:

1.  Disconnect power from unit.
2.   Remove the cover. (See To service the user
 

Interface board )

3.  Extract the two screws from the drawer rail.
 

(See Figure 6-36)

4.   Extract 2 screws from the top right control housing.
5.   Disconnect the 115VAC power supply and LED 
 

connection at the bottom right corner of the control, 
then remove the control from the food compartment.

6.  Lay the control on a clean flat surface face down.
7.  Remove 3 screws and release 2 clips. 
 

(See Figure 6-39)

8.   Flip open housing back cover.

When handling and or replacing a control board it 
is important the a technician have a wrist ground 
strap on and connected to the cabinet or another 
grounding position to prevent static electricity 
from damaging the board.
