3.2  Handheld Trans mit ter REV-HXX

A. In sert  Bat ter ies.

 Lower the bat tery cover by un screw ing

it com pletely. Slide down the in ner cover and in sert two
AA bat ter ies, pos i tive ends to ward the dis play.

B.  Turn ing the trans mit ter On -

 With bat tery com part ment

still open, hold the unit so you can see the dis play and
the con trol panel. Turn the unit on by slid ing the power
switch for ward to the ON po si tion. The dis play backlight
will light for a sec ond and the dis play will show the bat -
tery level, Group and Chan nel num bers.

C. Change the group and chan nel num bers

 

1. Press SET, the Group num ber will flash and can be

changed with the UP/DOWN keys.

2. Once the de 

sired Group num 

ber is show 

ing, press

SET to se lect and the Chan nel num ber will flash.

3. Se lect the Chan nel and press SET again, the flash ing 

will stop and the chan nel is now set.

D. To See Other Screens

1. Press SET and DOWN at the same time to dis 

play

the ex act trans mit fre quency.

2. Press SET and DOWN at the same time to dis 

play

the bat tery level in per cent.

3. Press SET and DOWN  again to dis play the gain set -

ting screen.

4. Press SET and DOWN again to show the RF Trans -

mit Level.

5. SET and DOWN one more time re 

turns you to the

Group and Chan nel screen.

E.   Fre quency Edit Mode - (User Group Only)

1. With the fre quency screen dis played, press SET and

use UP and DOWN to ad just fre quency.

2. Press SET and DOWN at the same time four times to

re turn to Group and Chan nel mode.

F.  Gain Set ting Mode

1. With the Gain Screen dis played, press SET and the

level num bers will flash.

2. Use UP and DOWN to ad 

just the trans 

mit 

ter gain.

ing/speak ing into the mi cro phone as loud as it will be
used dur ing the per for mance. 

3. Press SET and DOWN at the same time two times to

re turn to Group and Chan nel mode.

NOTE:

 Op er at ing with the trans mit ter au dio gain set as

high as pos si ble (with out dis tor tion or peaks all the way
to the right end of the me ter) will re sult in the best per for -
mance and high est sig nal to noise ra tio.

G.  RF Trans mit Level

1. With the RF Trans mit Level dis played, press SET and 

the Level (on the right) will flash.

2. Use UP and DOWN to set it at Hi (50mW) or Lo

(5mW). 

3. Press SET and DOWN at the same time once to re -

turn to the Group and Chan nel mode. 

H. Power Lock Out  - Dis ables the power switch

1. To en gage power lock press and hold SET, UP and

DOWN at the same time un til ON-LOCK ap pears in
the dis play.

2. To turn the unit off while in ON-LOCK, place the

power switch in the OFF po si tion and push any one of 
the SET, UP or DOWN but tons.

3. To re 

move the lock, press and hold SET, UP and

DOWN again at the same time un til ON-OFF ap pears
in the dis play.

4. The ON-LOCK mode can also be en tered by quickly

cy cling the power switch three times. But us ing this
method the unit will not be in ON-LOCK the next time
it is pow ered up.

I.   Change Lock-Out - Dis ables the SET but ton to
      pro tect set tings.

1. To en gage Change Lock press and hold the UP and

DOWN ar row keys to gether un til SE CURE ap pears in 
the dis play.

2. To re move the Change Lock, press and hold the UP

and DOWN keys un til AC CESS ap pears in the dis play.

Group and Chan nel, the main re ceiver dis play should
be in di cat ing an RF sig nal on the bar graph. 

2. Speak into the mi cro phone and the Au dio Me ter bar

graph should in di cate au dio sig nal pres ence. 

3. If the level me ters do not show re cep tion, make cer -

tain the group and chan nel are match ing and re fer to
the trou ble shoot ing sec tion.

4. Go back to Sec tion 3.1 - Re ceiver Setup and Op er a -

tion, Step 1, to com plete sys tem set up and test.
