5.3.11: Steps to Determine Power Needed

•

The Nexus

1262/1272 meter’s Power Supply DOES NOT SUPPLY POWER to the

Output Modules.

•

Refer to the table in the next section (Section 5.3.11) to determine the VA Ratings for Output

modules and displays.

•

Add together the VA Ratings for Output modules and displays in use to determine power

needed.

•

Connect one or more PSIO units. (PSIO is designed for use with the Output modules.)

Each PSIO will supply 12 VA @ 12Vdc. For details on PSIO, see Section 10.2.1.

NOTE:

For 24 or 48 Vdc applications, EIG recommends the

PB1

(or PSIO) power supply.

Order example number: PB1-D2-12VO (or PSIO-D2). See Figure 5.11 for wiring.

5.3.12: Output Modules’ Factory Settings and VA Ratings

All Output modules are shipped pre-programmed with a baud rate of 57600 and individual address-

es. The table below details the factory-set address for each module and the VA Ratings for Output

modules and displays. Refer to the previous section (Section 5.3.11) for the steps to determine the

power required. For programming details, refer to the accompanying

Communicator EXT User

Manual.
