The “ F ” option c a n s tore u p to 992 u ni qu e progr a m s in
memory. The s e progr a m n u m b er s c a n b e cre a ted a nd
a cce ss ed in r a ndom order.
A convenient Progr a m n u m b er (Pn) fe a t u re a llow s the
de s ired progr a m n u m b er (1-992) to b e entered directly
witho u t h a ving to enter the corre s ponding v a l u e s into the
Progr a m ba nk (P b ) a nd Active Progr a m (AP) p a r a meter s .
Thi s i s the method de s cri b ed b elow u nder “ Ch a nging
Progr a m N u m b er s from Key b o a rd. ”
If the h a rdw a re progr a m s elect inp u t s a re going to b e us ed
(they c a n b e driven from a PLC or s elector s witch) to s elect
progr a m s , it m a y b e nece ssa ry to progr a m the Progr a m
ba nk (P b ) a nd Active Progr a m (AP) from the key b o a rd.
Follow the in s tr u ction s given b elow u nder “ H a rdw a re
S election of Progr a m N u m b er. ”
Chan g in g Active Pro g ram Number from Keyboard
U s e the Progr a m n u m b er (Pn) fe a t u re of FCN 3 to s elect
a ny progr a m directly b y entering the corre s ponding n u m b er
from 1-992. The corre s ponding “ P b” a nd “ AP ” v a l u e s will
au tom a tic a lly b e c a lc u l a ted a nd s elected. It will not b e
nece ssa ry to c a lc u l a te or progr a m “ P b” or “ AP ” , bu t they c a n
b e viewed to verify th a t their v a l u e s corre s pond to the
s elected progr a m n u m b er.
Pn — Progr a m n u m b er (1-992)
Pb — Progr a m ba nk (1-124); 124 ba nk s of eight progr a m s
e a ch
AP — Active Progr a m (1- 8 ); a ctive progr a m within ba nk
Example:
If Progr a m n u m b er (Pn) 94 i s s elected, “ P b” will e qua l 12
(12th ba nk of eight progr a m s ) a nd “ AP ” will e qua l s ix (6th
progr a m within thi s ba nk).
DO NOT enter v a l u e s into “ P b” or “ AP ” if the key b o a rd
progr a m s election i s b eing us ed. S imply progr a m “ Pn ” to the
de s ired progr a m n u m b er from 1-992.
Hardware S election of Pro g ram Number
The h a rdw a re progr a m s elect inp u t s override the key b o a rd
progr a mmed Active Progr a m (AP) v a l u e when a ny one or
com b in a tion of the inp u t s i s energized. When the h a rdw a re
inp u t s a re us ed to s elect the Active Progr a m (AP), in su re
th a t “ AP ” i s s et e qua l to one.
The h a rdw a re s elect inp u t s a ffect only the c u rrent “ AP ”
v a l u e th a t i s controlling the o u tp u t s . The “ P b” i s not a ffected
b y the s elect inp u t s a nd h as to b e ch a nged from the
key b o a rd if more th a n 8 progr a m s a re us ed.
Note: Active Progr a m a nd Progr a m B a nk c a n b e ch a nged
thro u gh the s eri a l comm u nic a tion port a l s o.
