ECR Master Reset clears the whole data area in the ECR soft-
ware and sets the default values. It is recommended to back-
up the ECR data before performing the Master Reset.
1. Look up “SW Master Reset” in the service mode menu or
enter the code 990 and press

The ECR should be turned off and on again after the Mas-
ter Reset. ECR is then set to the default values. After the ECR
is turned on, you have to select the application mode (see
chapter 5.4.1 for details), enter the date in “ddmmyy” format
and time in “hhmmss” format. Log in using the default pass-
word.
Note: There are two default cashiers defined in the ECR; the
password of the first one is “1”, the second’s is “2”. Both of them
have got all privileges and rights to perform all operations.
