1. INTRODUCTION
FXUP is an expansion unit for FXPRO fire control units. Its operating menus can be accessed using emulation from a FXPRO
unit or from a different control panel (Selected unit button).
This manual explains how to use the FXUP expansion unit.
It is part of the technical documentation of the unit, together with the technical manual, the programming manual and the
quick guide.
The FXUP unit can be operated from a PC station, using the GLOBALPRO software.
The user of the plant must not open the metallic box. Should the need arise, get in touch with the installer or an authorized
maintenance operator.
1.1 Definitions
Master
and
Slave
: the main control panel, managing data exchange between control panels, and any other control panel.

2. USER INTERFACE
FXUP has no user interface of its own. To use it, it has to be part of a local network of a FXPRO unit. During emulation
mode, the

Delayed mode is ON.

DISABLE – COMMON

At least one element has been disabled.

During acknowledgement time, starts investigation
time. Otherwise, starts the evacuate procedure for
the emulated unit.

If, after pressing this button, the buzzer keeps ringing, it might be the panel’s buzzer that’s ringing. Browse to the panel
managing screens and try again.
Immediately silences sounders of the emulated unit (beware: some
relay outputs are not classified as sounders even if they control
sounder devices).
If the emulated unit’s buzzer is off, pressing this button starts that
unit’s reset.
