SET-UP OF SENSORS
The configuration tree shows all units in the system The first item is always the ezeio™ itself.
The second item is the MicroLan, wireless and ModBus devices that the system has identified.
In order to add or programme a device, Data is current must be visible.
Configuration of Modbus devices:
To add a Modbus device, ensure the bus address is unique (see the instruction manual for the Modbus
device for details of how to configure the address and communication settings for a specific device).
All devices that share the Modbus communication line must be configured for the same speed and
format. The default values are 19,200 bps, 8 databits, no parity.
Click on the root object for the device in the configuration tree, then click “Add device”. In the dialogue
box, choose the type of device you want to add. Enter the address and click “Add device”. The listed
devices have been tested for compatibility with eze System. Give the new device a name that makes the
device as easy as possible to identify.
The device resources will now be available in the system. You can add inputs/outputs and choose the
source from the “Input location” drop-down menu (see pages 52–121 in the ezeio™ instruction
manual). One ezeio™ device supports up to nine (9) wireless devices.
Configuration of wireless devices
Click on the root element for the device in the configuration tree, then click “Add device”. Choose
“Wireless device” from the drop-down menu and specify the serial number of the new device. Click
“Add device” and save your changes.
The device is now connected to the system and you can add inputs and outputs tied to RF units. Power
up the wireless expander after adding the device.
The signal LED will flash slowly when communication with the ezeio™ is established (this may take up
to 4 minutes). Short flashes (1 second) indicate normal operation and communication with the ezeio™.
