Cleaning
1. Clean the pulse oximeter with cotton or soft cloth moistened
with water.
2. Dry the excess of water with a soft cloth.
3. Allow the pulse oximeter to air dry.
Disinfection
The recommended disinfectants include: 70% ethanol, 70%
isopropanol, glutaraldehyde (2%) solution disinfectants.
1. Clean the pulse oximeter as instructed above.
2. Disinfect the pulse oximeter with cotton or soft cloth
moistened with one of the recommended disinfectants.
3. After disinfection, be sure to wipe off the disinfectant left on
the pulse oximeter with a soft cloth moistened with water.
4. Allow the pulse oximeter to air dry.
Cleaning and disinfection
NOTE
It is a best practice to use a dry wipe to remove organic
material.
Do not use any solvents or IPA, because they can melt the
painting or plastic case.
