Original User Manual

Varilex

Akku

For thin grinding discs (see Figure 1):

• The collar of the locking nut

points up

to ensure that a thin disc can be properly

secured.

≤ 3,2 mm

• Press the spindle arrester button to block the

transmission system.

• Retighten the locking nut using the double-pin

spanner.

For thick grinding discs (see Figure 2):

ched securely to the spindle

• Lock the spindle

in place.

• Tighten the locking nut

with the doub-

le- pin assembly spanner

in a clockwise

direction.

PLEASE NOTE

• Should the disc rotate unevenly or vibrate af-

ter being changed, then it must be replaced

immediately.

• For safety reasons, allow the grinder to run at

full speed for 60 seconds after a disc change.

Be alert for unusual noises and sparking.

• Check that all mounting and/or attachment

components are properly secured.

• Ensure that the rotatory direction arrow (if

there is one) on the grinding or cutting disc

corresponds to the direction of rotation (rotato-

ry direction arrow on the grinder head) of the

grinder.

Commissioning

Switching ON/OFF

Check the inserted tool before using the grinder!

It must be correctly inserted or attached, must

not be damaged or damp, nor evince any

cracking etc., and must be able to rotate freely.

Always execute a 60-second trial run! Never

use tools with non-rounded contours or which

vibrate. Be alert for unusual noises and sparking.

Should you observe such things, check that all

mounting and/or attachment components are

properly secured.

PLEASE NOTE

• Always switch the grinder on before bringing

it into contact with the material and only

then apply it to the workpiece.

Switching on the machine:

• Operate the switch lock

(see Fig. E).

• The press the ON / OFF switch

Switching off the Machine

• Release the ON/OFF switch

Maintenance and Cleaning

WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!

Before carrying out any work on

the machine, please ensure that

it is switched off and remove the

battery.

• Never use sharp objects to clean the grinder.

To prevent damage, liquids must be prevented

from entering the grinder.

• Clean the grinder regularly, preferably immedi-

ately after completing the grinding task.

• Clean the casing with a dry cloth and never
