RISK OF INJURY
• Always use the angle grinder with the guard
9
attached.
• The guard must be securely attached to the
angle grinder. Adjust it so as to ensure the
highest level of safety, i.e., the smallest pos-
sible part of the grinder is visible opposite
to the user. The guard is designed to protect
the operator from fragments and accidental
contact with the grinding tool.
RISK OF INJURY
• Please ensure that the guard
9
is fitted
atleast at the same angle as the handle
8
(see Fig. B). If it is not then you could injure
yourself on the grinding or cutting disc.
• Undo the clamping lever
12
.
• Position the guard
9
with the locating lugs
13
in the coding groove
21
.
• Rotate the guard
9
to the required position
• (operating position). The closed side of the gu-
ard
9
must always face towards the operator.
• Close the clamping lever
12
to clamp the
guard
9
in place. If necessary,
the clamping force of the clamp can be adjus-
ted by loosening or tightening the adjusting
nut
14
. Please ensure that the guard
9
is
placed securely on the spindle.
Attach Handle
CAUTION!
• For safety reasons, this grinder must only be
wielded using the handle
8
. Failure to do
so could result in serious injury. The handle
8
can be attached to either side of the
grinder.
Attach / Replace Grinding Disc / Cutting Disc
Always wear safety gloves when replacing grin-
ding or cutting discs. Both grinding and abrasive
cutting discs get extremely hot under operating
conditions: do not touch them until them have
cooled down. Observe the dimensions of the
grinding and cutting discs. The hole diameter
must correspond to the mounting flange
20
. Ne-
ver use reduction inserts or adapters. Check the
grinding or cutting disc. It must not be damaged,
damp or cracked, either of which could cause
it to break and cause injury under operating
conditions..
PLEASE NOTE
• It is imperative that you only ever use clean,
non-contaminated discs.
• Without exception, always use grinding tools
whose permissible rotation speed is at least as
high as the idling speed of the grinder.
• RISK OF INJURY!
Only ever press the spindle
arrester button
10
when the spindle
19
has
come to a complete stop.
• Press the spindle arrester button
10
to block
the transmission system.
• Undo the lock nut
18
with the aid of the dou-
ble- pin installation spanner
17
(see Fig. D).
• Place the grinding or cutting disc on the
mounting flange, with the lettered side pointing
20
towards the grinder.
• Then replace the locking nut
18
, on the spind-
le
19
, with the rounded side pointing upwards
