Assembly on the ground (Fig. 9)
The outer part must be placed in an upright position
where it is protected against direct sunlight. The air
outlet must be kept clear. The device must be placed
at least 50 cm away from any obstacles.
Wall mounting with wall holder (Figs. 7-8)
1. Screw the wall holder to the wall.
2. Hang the outdoor device in the wall holder.
d) Condensate drain (Fig. 10)
The device is fitted with an automatic condensate
drain. The condensate that collects is transported
from the indoor device to the outdoor device via a
hose built into the connecting line. An opening from
which the condensate can escape is located on the
underside of the outdoor device. To divert the
condensate away from the outdoor device, you can
connect a ½” (12.5 mm) hose to this opening. Ensure
that the hose is sufficiently angled.
e) Removing the connecting line (if routing
through a wall opening)
By using quick-lock couplings, it is possible to
disconnect the connecting line from the connecting
line for assembly purposes.
IMPORTANT! Always pull out the mains plug while
removing the quick-lock couplings.
Notes:
The device can be disconnected and
reconnected about 3 times without this causing
any significant loss in cooling capacity.
Do not disconnect the devices until immediately
before assembly and only leave disconnected for
as long as is absolutely necessary.
Make sure before reconnecting the lines that no
dirt, moisture or other foreign bodies are
impeding the function of the quick-lock couplings.
Otherwise there is a risk of refrigerant loss (no
warranty claim).
1.
Open the connection box for the refrigerant
connecting line on the back of the device (Fig. 11)
and remove any fastening clamps for the
connecting lines above this.
2.
Remove the condensate hose (C) (Fig.12).
3.
Disconnect the electrical plug connection (A)
(Fig. 12).
4.
Unscrew the terminal nuts using the open-ended
wrench provided. Do this by holding the top
hexagon of the connecting lines in place with an
open-ended wrench and only turning the bottom
hexagon of the connecting lines (B/D). Turn
continually until the connection is disconnected,
even though you may hear a slight hissing (Fig.
12).
5.
Close off the open terminal nuts with the plastic
seals provided (Fig. 13).
6.
Mount the outdoor device as described above.
7.
Pull the connecting line through the opening in
the wall made earlier (diameter approx. 60 mm)
f) Mounting the connecting line
1.
Once the outdoor device has successfully been
mounted, remove the plastic seals.
2.
The connecting lines are connected to the indoor
device in reverse order to that described above
(Fig. 14).
3.
Check the quick-lock couplings for leaks once the
connecting lines have been connected.
4.
Retighten the connection box and the fastening
clamp for the refrigerant connecting line on the
back of the device (Fig. 15).
7. Cleaning by the end user
To avoid an electric shock or risk of fire, always pull
out the mains plug first before starting any cleaning
work.
a) Cleaning the air filter
The air conditioner is fitted with 2 filters.
1. Dust filter (close-meshed filter net)
2. Activated carbon filter (binds particles in the air
and prevents the development of bacteria)
Important:
Never use the device without air filters.
Dust filter
Remove the activated carbon filter (see 5.h).
Use a vacuum cleaner or tap the dust filter gently to
remove the dust. If the filter is very dirty, wash it
carefully with warm water. Then leave to dry
thoroughly.
Activated carbon filter
The activated carbon filter is located behind the dust
filter and cannot be washed. Its service life is
dependent on the operating conditions. The filter
should be inspected every six months and replaced if
necessary.
b) Cleaning the housing
Use only a gentle cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the
housing. Never use aggressive media, petrol, alcohol
or thinner. Only fit the filter back in place when
thoroughly dry.
